It feels good to finally post this session. Especially because it’s all about the kiddos. I got to the spend the afternoon with the Heit kids down in Carlsbad, and it was an absolute blast. We played with toys, rode around on bikes and skateboards, and ended our session at the beach. This family reminded me why I love photography. It was just an ordinary afternoon with three kids just being “kids”. Nothing was planned out or posed. I just told them to have fun, and we did! PS- if the kids look familiar, they are cousins with the other Heit Family that I photographed last year. : )

Better known as the “Milliams”. At least when Cody and I are with them. Ricky and Meg are some of our best friends, and we have been blessed to be their neighbors for the past year and a half. I can’t even put into words how much this couple means to us. They have really shown us what it looks like to walk along side people and love  them at their lowest, highest, and everything in between. Not only are they the most caring people, but they are hilarious. We absolutely love doing life with these two! Hope you enjoy this fun session we did before Christmas!

I hope everyone is as excited about 2013 as the Millers are! Cody and I have gone through a lot of changes in the past few months to prepare for some exciting things to come! We will definitely be filling you in in the near future. (no, no, 2013 will not consist of having babies, so don’t freak out). But it is just as exciting, at least for Cody and me. However, I still need to share what I’ve been doing the last few months of 2012. I have had the opportunity of spending time with some amazing families. Today, I am sharing some sweet moments with the Groe Family. I have known Tommy and Ashley for many years, and they recently had a beautiful baby girl, Harper Wren. She is such a doll! She makes so many funny faces- the most famous one, “the scrunchy face”. Tommy and Ashely, you have a beautiful family and I was so blessed to be able to take pictures of you guys. Cody and I adore you three and we can’t wait to hang out soon!

Happy Monday! Almost Happy Halloween! I can’t believe it’s already the end of October. Time is flying by too quickly. Cody and I got to spend the weekend in Santa Barbara with college friends, and we were reminded of how blessed we are to have such amazing people in our lives. Also, it’s almost been two yeas since we graduated college. TWO years! Wow. I remember wondering what I was going to do with my life after college. Two years later, and I’m still asking myself the same question. But I think that’s good. I’ve become more open to what God has for me/Cody, instead of planning out every step. We’ve been going through a lot of change recently, both of us starting new jobs, and although it wasn’t in the plan, I am really looking forward to this next chapter. Most importantly, because I truly do believe God is the one leading us, so I am excited  to follow His direction. But it also allows me to finally spend more time doing what I love, photography. So with much relief of having a day off to blog and catch up on editing, here’s Luke and Kim. I got the opportunity of second shooting their wedding with Megan Hartley back in August. We had so much fun capturing Luke and Kim’s wedding day in Pasadena! Enjoy!

Well, most of it has been filled with cleaning and laundry. It’s crazy how quickly those two things get pushed to the side when life is busy. I figured I would take advantage of this heat and clean. :/ Bad idea. If you have a pool…please invite me over. I’m pretty sure it’s hotter inside my house than outside. But besides the heat, things have been pretty tough over here. Family and friends are going through some severe struggles, and all Cody and I can do is pray. It makes it difficult to watch your friends suffer when you can’t do anything to help. It made me start thinking how God is good in every situation. Even when I can’t control a thing, He’s consistent and has control over everything. What a relief. This blog post is a reminder that God’s will and his love is better than we will ever know. My nephew is now three years old and the most adorable boy you will ever meet. His life is an example of God’s redeeming love. After not being able to see him for a year-and-a-half, the Lord provided a way for us to now seem him multiple times a month. And what a gift Ry has been to us. It’s amazing how God takes such a bad situation and turns it around to display His Glory… it allows us to be apart of His Kingdom and to truly know the Gospel. So to all my hurting friends, there is still hope. A Hope that is bigger and better than we will ever know.

Instead of resting like I should be, I decided to post a blog. I barely have time to post anything these days, so why not be productive on a day off, right? I promise the rest of my day will be laying on the couch, watching olympics, and eating soup. But first, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite sessions! The Heit family is one of the most adorable families I’ve ever seen. Not only are they all gorgeous but you can tell they love each other deeply. I met Kelly through my mom, and she’s been my hairdresser for the last couple of years. She’s been talking to me about her family since the day I met her, and I finally got to meet all of them! Kelly, you are such a sweet person, and I loved hanging out with all your boys. Can’t wait to catch up soon!

This is been a very long process and thanks to my wonderful husband, it is done. At least done enough to show the world – meaning friends and family. My first post is kind of a big one… instead of posting a family, maternity, newborn or engagement shoot… why not start with a wedding, right? So here’s to finally having a blog, where I can finally share everything I’ve been doing the past year, and I can finally show off all my wonderful clients/friends.

I met Bekah in high school and immediately people started wondering if we were related. I think if you have dimples people are convinced you’re twins. And of course Bekah is gorgeous, so I don’t mind being mistaken as sisters. I didn’t meet Jakob until our engagement session and I have to tell you this guy is in love with his bride! Bekah and Jakob, you two are incredible people and I know God is going to use your marriage to bless others. Cody and I have loved getting to know you and we were honored to capture your beautiful day!

And I have to give credit where credit is due… my talented husband 2nd shot with me and spent the morning with all the groomsmen while they got ready.

Congratulations Jakob and Bekah!! Can’t wait to hang out with you soon!
